| From their official press release, me and 226 other folks cast a presidential preference vote at LP caucuses across the state last night. Sounds like there was a corrected count in my caucus as they now say Johnson and McAfee tied there (we use ranked choice voting so it can sometimes be a li'i confusing). Johnson swept the other six caucuses to take a pretty easy win statewide. Minnesota's top 3 (Johnson, McAfee, Petersen) apparently mirrored the results of other states who have had polls because those are the three who will be on John Stossel's FBN show to debate - sorry, "presidential forum" coming up. I don't see how Johnson doesn't end up with the nomination again, which will probably turn out as well for him as 2012 did, so....I probably should have just gone to Triviasco instead. Idealism is such a curse. |

| Purely by accident, I learned that the MN Libertarian Party is actually caucus'ing this time around, so that saves me a lot of trouble trying to figure out which person for whom I'd never vote for whom I'd want to cast a "preference" in one of the DFL or GOP caucuses. (I probably just lost three Friends reminding you I'm registered to this party.) ANYWAY. It's at Whiskey Junction if you're in my congressional district (most MN folks I'm friends with) and WANT to caucus, but are also fed up with the choices left amongst the Big 2 AND you're also not interested in the IP or Greens AND you can't take seriously the fact that we apparently have two single-issue marijuana parties in this state...well, the LP is all that's left, but I'm sure they'd love to have you and your donations (but hold fast and tell them your money is your own!) And I'll drive you if you need a ride - offer limited to the first however many people can fit in the Pikachumobile with me. But finally, please caucus with SOMEBODY on Tuesday.
