[mark-out]

January 2002: Saturday Night Fever: The Musical comes to the Weidner Center here in Green Bay. When they start the scene for the big dance contest at the club, the stage was dark. Then the glowing floor lights come up, steam (a'la A-Train's "pyro") from the 4 corners, and the set elevates.

All this time, Flair's entrance music (yep, theme from 2001) plays. Out of my party of 4, only my buddy (a wrestling promoter himself) instantly flashed the IV Horsemen signal from the mezzanine...and quietly enough that we didn't get booted from the theater in all its disco goodness...said "WOOOOOOO!"

[/mark-out]

Happy birthday, Nature Boy.

Question:

How old is he?

By the way, Storm's gimmick includes 1.) telling the audience to shut up, and 2.) occasionally making everyone stand for the Canadian national anthem. You know they don't know what to do with a wrestler when he's making fans stand for a national anthem. It's like waving a white flag and saying, "This guy has no personality -- we give up."

Flair's 54.

And he was asked last year how you spelled it. He says it's:

A ten knife-edge chop salute goes out to the Nature Boy, who at 54, is still a jet flying, limo riding, kissed all the girls and made them cry, wheelin' dealin' sonofagun!

"Now it's time to go to school!"
- Flair, after going to town on the knee, right before doing the Figure Four.

WOOOOOOOO!

"Maybe one day Vorrik, but not today. You really should have thought twice about this gambit of yours--especially if you didn't have the resources to pull it off in the first place.
"We have no intentions of surrendering--not now, not ever. You may win the occasional battle against us, Vorrik, but the Empire always will strike back. That I promise you".

First off, to answer the big question on everyone's mind about Six Flags this week - Jillian showed up with a big band-aid on her face to cover up her Smackdown scar. Okay, the next question on everyone's mind would be, did the Boogeyman show up?
