Vince helps Hogan win the match. Hogan does the whole "I didn't need help" schtick on Smackdown, which sets up a verbal confrontation leading to the match.
Triple H vs. Big Poppa Pump
Triple H. Hopefully there's something on Heat that would make this match a no DQ, since at least if it was booked as a brawl it could border on watchable.
Austin vs. Bischoff
Squash-o-rama.
Batista vs. Booker T.
The cynic in me says they put Dave Batista over here via Evolution interference. But, in retrospect, my picks seem heel heavy, so I'll go with Booker.
Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho
Anywhere otherr than Montreal, I'd say 'Jeff Hardy wins when Shawn Michaels interferes', but that won't get the desired reaction out of that crowd, so I guess Jericho via foot-on-the-ropes, with HBK not getting revenge until they're safely out of Canada.
Taker vs. The Big Show
Taker in a ***** mat classic.
Matt Hardy vs. Kidman
Matt Fact: Matt has a spot over his fireplace ready to display the cruiserweight title.
RVD/Kane vs. Regal/Storm
Regal and Storm. Just because.
Angle/Benjamin/Haas vs. Benoit/Edge/Lesnar. As Redsoxnation said, there's no better time than now to write Edge out of the storylines.
Hmmmm, I just reviewed my picks and it occured to me that theres NINE, count them, NINE matches scheduled for NWO.
Now by recent standards that would be considered by some to be rather a lot of wrestling on this show. So I made my merry way to the official No Way Out site and there was no mention of the Booker v Dave match. On top of this I have no recollection of this match being announced on RAW (didnt see SD this week).
So simply put, is the match going ahead and when was it announced?
Apologies for the slightly off topic post but it hardly seemed worth starting a new thread over.
"You dont appreciate a lot of stuff in school until you get older. Little things like being spanked every day by a middle aged woman: stuff you'd pay good money for these days."
Well, Da Meltz is tooting that a)Edge will most likely be written out of the match and replaced at some point in the show's early going, and b)There are frantic last-minute negotiations going down to get Goldberg to show up in some role. I could get into Edge's replacement if we get Rhyno (apparently the most likely course of action), but the Goldberg thing is a REALLY bad idea. I'm assuming that they want to use him as a superface, which will fall at the first hurdle if they intro him in Montreal. he got booed out of the building every time WCW visited Canada, and that was BEFORE he ended Bret's career.
Predictions:
STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN VS. ERIC BISCHOFF I honestly don't think that this will lead to any groundbreaking storyline. Austin's gonna beat the piss out of Easy-E and cap it off with a ludicrous number of Stunners. MY PICK: STEVE AUSTIN.
THE ROCK VS. HULK HOGAN Hmm, tough call. I doubt that Vince wishes to job Rocky out building up to Mania, but then Hogan can't be made to look TOTALLY foolish. Well, if no doubt, go for the screwjob. Rocky wins by the Ring The Fucking Bell Finish. My PICK: The Rock.
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: HHH VS. SCOTT STEINER There is no way in Hell that Steiner is going over here. In fact I'd put money on this being his last WWE appearance. MY PICK: HHH
THE UNDERTAKER VS. THE BIG SHOW I'm going to call an upset for the Show here; Kanyon and Heyman both run interference, but Nathan Jones is the scale-tipper. MY PICK: The Big Show
TEAM ANGLE VS. BROCK LESNAR/CHRIS BENOIT/EDGE/WHOMEVER Team Angle win, possible handing Brock his second pinfall loss. This should be elimination rules. MY PICK: Team Angle.
CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: MATT HARDY VS. BILLY KIDMAN I desperately want Matt to go over, but the rules of wrestling are against that one, seeing as he got the last laugh on SD. Kidman retains, for God knows what reason. MY PICK: Billy Kidman.
WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: KANE/ROB VAN DAM VS. STORM/REGAL No mystery: The champs continue their winning ways and RVD and Kane begin a time-killing feud for Mania. MY PICK: Storm/Regal.
CHRIS JERICHO VS. JEFF HARDY Up until Monday, this match had me pretty interested. Then dumbass test went and got himself punished and we're stuck with a totally pointless match-and one that we've seen countless times before at that. Jericho wins, sending jeff spiralling into heeldom once more. MY PICK: Chris Jericho.

A couple of problems occurred when I started the predictions. First, I forgot Austin/Bischoff (unfortunately, I then remembered it). Then, I was doing the matches off of memory, and for some reason I couldn't picture Booker being off the PPV before Mania if he is going to get a world title match. But, as always I forgot that being over generally means you work Heat or host from the World instead of working the PPV. Considering most of these matches will be booked short tonight, I still hold out some outside hope that Booker works the PPV.
The only military skill provided by the French is demonstrating the methods of surrendering.
I remember seeing somewhere that Rey Mysterio Jr was scheduled for the World NWO party, so he probably WON'T be able to take Edge's spot if they do take him off they show.

Rey Mysterio was advertised on Smackdown and last night's Velocity that he will be on Live Heat in Montreal (no opponent mentioned)
ps. what was I on saying all titles on the line except women. I meant all champs are performing except the women.
For some reason this PPV really has a "Very Good Raw/SD" feel to it but not really a PPV feel. You know full of confrontations (Bisch/Austin), World Champ in tag match to set up next PPV (6 man tag), and a World Title rematch few wants to see a sequel of (H/Steiner)... Well at least Hogan/ Rock feels PPV, and the cruiserweight match had a nice build too

Waffleking Odds: Matt Hardy (2 to 1) Kidman (10 to 1)
2. Chris Jericho vs. Jeff Hardy
WK Odds: Chris Jericho (2 to 1), Canada rejoices Jeff Hardy (5 to 1)
3. Big Show vs. The Undertaker
WK Odds: Undertaker (2 to 1) Big Show wins via screwjob (3 to 1)
4. "The Burn-Outs" RVD/Kane vs. "The Un'over'cans" Regal & Storm
WK Odds: Even, no one gives a shit.
5. Team Awesome #1 vs. Team Awesome #2
WK Odds: Team Awesome #1 (Team Angle) win via screwjob (2 to 1) Team Awesome #2 (Lesner,Benoit,Edge) (3 to 1)
6. Triple HGH vs. Scott Steineroid
WK Odds: HHH wins (1.00000000001 to 1) Steiner wins (100,000 to 1) I would give Hunter better odds but there is that off chance that a meteor hits Montreal and sends Canada back to the ice age before the match can happen.
7. STONE COLD! BYE GOD RATTLESNAKE~! vs. Eazy E w/NWA
WK Odds: Austin wins (2 to 1) Bisch wins via help from Rock (3 to 1) Bisch wins via help from Goldberg (20 to 1) Bisch wins via help from Sting (100 to 1) Bisch wins via help from Pappa Shango (1000 to 1)
8. Hollywood Hogan vs. Hollywood Rock
WK Odds: Rock CHEATS TO WIN~ (2 to 1) Rock wins clean (3 to 1) Hogan wins (5 to 1) Hogan wins via "fast count" by Nick Patrick (300 to 1)

Why am I getting this sneaky suspicion that Goldberg or Bret Hart 'might' appear tonight?
It seems Goldberg cancelled a couple autograph signings for saturday and today. Could this be so his ugly mug could fly to Canada for No Way Out?
Bret Hart was just on TSN for a two part interview and now they got Shawn Michaels on back to back... something smells funny in the land of Canada, and it might be pretty markish to see if anything comes of all of it.
Waffleking: "Hogan wins via "fast count" by Nick Patrick (300 to 1)"
Or perhaps he'll have something in his eye again.

The Great One v. Hollywood Hulk Hogan: Hogan won't want to take a second pinfall for Rocky, but Rocky needs to be kept strong, and we need some shenanigans to really lock in the Hogan/Vince match at WM. Vince tosses Rocky a chair, Rocky beats up Hogan like the proverbial step-headed child with it, but gets caught by the ref, Hogan by DQ.
Teo v. Useless Lump of Steroids: I hate both guys, so I don't give a fuck. I do agree that if Vince puts the title on Useless Lump of Steroids, we might as well officially get the death watch going, so Teo retains via his usual chicanerous method.
Batista v. Booker: I don't see this on the card, but I'll pick it anyway... They want to push Batista, but they need to make Booker strong to set up the Teo/Booker match at WM, so the best way to achieve both of these is Booker by DQ after a massive Evolution beatdown. The smarter thing is to put Booker over clean, but I'm not booking.
Jeff Hardy v. God: Well, I'm happy to see Test out of there, since Jericho jobbing there was a sure thing. Here's how I book this: Shawn runs interference, but fucks up, allowing Jericho to pin Jeff. Jeff goes tweener on us for a month and then turns full heel on Michaels in the Shawn/Jericho match, but in a way that keeps Jericho strong. They almost have to go that route, since it's going to be glorious when the Montreal fans EXPLODE for Jericho and boo Jeff out of the building...
Commonwealth Connection v. The Unlikely Tag Team: I don't give a fuck. Regal & Storm, leading to the Dudleys getting their revenge against them at WM.
Undertaker v. Big Fat Tub of Lard: The match is going to suck, so I don't give a fuck. I'd be shocked if they put Show over to build to a WM rematch, but who do they feed to Taker at Mania then? Still, my spider sense says the Dead Man.
Kidman v. MATT HARDY VERSION ONE POINT OH: If Matt doesn't go over, and cleanly, the bookers are on drugs.
Team Angle v. The Holy Trinity: Oh yes, this will rule, even if Edge is going to be mostly on the sidelines. Smart booking is to keep Angle and Brock from meeting each other for most of the match (have Angle tag to either Charlie or Shelton in fear everytime Brock comes in). I think they're saving the Edge beatdown for the Ontario Smackdown on Tuesday, so I see the Holy Trinity winning (I'd put Benoit over Angle since it won't hurt Angle and he owes Benoit a job) and Team Angle taking its revenge on Tuesday to really kick the Angle/Brock push off.
AUSTIN AUSTIN AUSTIN v. That Guy Who Said He'd Never Draw: Punch, punch, whip, Thesz Press, taunt, KICK WHAM STUNNER, goodnight. Anyone who thinks Austin joins Bischoff is nuts - let's just say it'd be next to impossible to logically explain.
