A few weeks short of losing Dragonball and Chaotitc Century you may be dismayed.

But Rurouni Kenshin is on the way! The loss Giant robots can only be compensated by more ninja content. And by Kami, it's on its way.

Now I sit and hope the rumour of the new Thundercats series is true.

Are they not going to finish Dragonball? I get most of my Anime news here(I don't know where else to look) and it would suck if they didn't finish it. But, a new Thunder Cats wouldn't be bad. :)

If the new Thundercats rumours are true, I hope, like the He-Man revival it's 100% better than the original show.

Unlike the new "Battle of the Planets" show which is just more chopped-up footage from the other 2 Gatchaman series.

Thundercats had a cool intro but man, the rest of the show bit ass. A tradition continued by the comic.

Fear not Keeper, the Piccolo Damo episodes are on their way, but not until one of the 4 shows (that take the two hours after GIANT robot week:Armada,Yu Yu, DBZ and Kenshinin) is rotated out. It's going on break and like Inu Yasha's it's both undeserving and uneccassary.

I hate to admit it, but the new He-Man show IS better then the original.

I'm anxiously awaiting a Silverhawks or GoBots revival, my self, but we can't all get what we want.

Just wondering, which version of Samurai X or Rourini Kenshin whatever will it be. I mean I've seen DVD's where its just Samurai X, where I suppose Kenshin is a wandering samurai trying to get back to his wife and kills a lot of people. And there's another more...cartoony samurai x where Kenshin is a man searching for redemption and refuses to kill and only uses a reverse bladed sword. Can someone set me straight on the different series, OVA's, etc?

Well it's Toonami, so the cartoonish one (the series) is my bet. Maybe the OVA will get to Adult Swim, but I doubt it.

How do you air either version of Samurai X on day time TV especially Toonami on CN? I mean I've seen footage from both and even the more cartoony version is still ultra violent.

I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see then. CN hasn't done an official press release, Kenshin's addition was discovered by net geeks scouring the official CN programming schedule.

Hey, maybe we'll get both!

Would CN really be phasing out Armada anytime soon? Especially with the 20th anniversary of the TF line coming up, and about 22 or so new episodes, including the whole "Unicron Wars" story line coming up?

hey there guys
Here's the low down on Samurai X and Rurouni Kenshin. They're the same series part of the same storyline. Having watched the whole series, nothing pissed me off more than the fact that Samurai X was brought here before they finished Kenshin. One of the biggest themes throughout the series is where does Kenshin come from? where did he get his scar? why doesn't he kill anymore? It was not something that was revealed only after about 60+ episodes or 24 volumes of the manga. Trust me, it was SO much cooler learning his origin after getting to know the character first and then finding out. I mean, imagine if we all knew Wolverines origin when he first came out. 75% of his mystique would be gone.

The reason that the OVA art is more serious than the Series is b/c I think another company got the rights to animate it after the series got cancelled. So they changedt he style. Kenshin is cartoony as in the manga. Whats worse, the OVA story is actually part of a much larger story in which Kenshin is forced to reveal his origin to the crew and is a much better story arc than the first (but the first rocked!). Unfortunately there werent enough episodes left in the shows contract to animate it, but they gave the fans the OVA of the origin.
And more recently a final OVA, which better not be released soon, seeing as it is the end of the series.

anyways, ive written way to much. Take care guys...

Have you ever seen the original GOTCHAMAN series that was batardized here in the states as Battle Of The Planets and later G-Force? They'll ruin it and cut out all the good parts and turn blood grey and add a stupid robot like america ALWAYS does to good shows.

Another good example is Robotech. While what we see here is pretty good, it was originally 3 seperate series that had nothing to do with each other. The 'Robotech Masters' storyline was my least favorite of the series, but since I originally saw them, I've been able to see that series the way it was meant to be seen as 'Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross' and it's actually my favorite of the three, which include 'Super Dimension Fortress Macross'(Macross) and 'Genesis Climber Mospeada'(New Generation). But I'm sure most of you knew all this, so I'll just shut up now.

Shockdown, I dug around the schedule and Armada stays in the daily grind, with DBZ, Yu Yu, and Kenshin. I'm not sure where you got the idea it was going away, but God I wish it was.

BTW good news swimmers, when Yu Yu gets out of the pool to go to the Toonami playground, Inu Yasha returns!

Unfortunately, I believe that the final OVA has been released or is being released very soon. I *think* the series is just about done anyway, but that wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway, seeing as how AnimeWorks released the series in America while ADV has the OVA.

The ending for the series left a lot to be desired compared to the manga, which brought back Tomoe's (Kenshin's lover from the OVA) brother Enishi all grown up and still blaming Kenshin for his sister's death. As the final "badguy" vengeful and hungry to kill Kenshin yet still with a sympathetic backstory, Enishi was great and the storyline also did a neat little tieup that connected the manga storyline and OVA series.

I just not too long ago read an article posted from the company that produced the RK TV series that they would animate that final story arc from the manga if they recieved something like 20,000 fan signatures. The website I was at had nearly that in America alone so I think it's a pretty safe bet that the final arc will finally be animated. This should be reeeaaally good. :-)

If we are going to mention Tea Leoni, I got to mention The Naked Truth, I actually thought that was a pretty solid show about a tabloid newspaper.. Oh and Drew, I did mention Friday the 13th the Series.
