Tommy Dreamer has been added to the RAW creative team. Dreamer started as a writer last Monday. He will also remain an on-screen performer. Some worry that having him be part of the creative team and a wrestler could cause political problems, but Dreamer has always shown a willingness to put others over, dating back to the days of ECW.

The RAW creative team is led by Brian Gerwirtz who specializes in comedic writing, which is why WWE thought it would be a good idea to put an actual wrestler on the team to bring in a new view.

By the way, Storm's gimmick includes 1.) telling the audience to shut up, and 2.) occasionally making everyone stand for the Canadian national anthem. You know they don't know what to do with a wrestler when he's making fans stand for a national anthem. It's like waving a white flag and saying, "This guy has no personality -- we give up."

If they made this the WM I would drive to Seattle with a group of friends, buy scalped front row tickets, and buy 3 of every bit of WWE merchandise that I could just to show them how cool an idea I thought it was ;)

I cannot help but think of Chris Hyatte's old column about how WWE should sign Tommy Dreamer as a road agent to try and impart his love and respect for wrestling onto the young guys.

Let's just hope that Dreamer doesn't go all Triple H and start booking himself for main events. :)

I don't think we'll have to worry about Tommy booking himself into anything. He did a pretty good job of having himself buried last Monday against Batista. o_O

This is a great move. Tommy was quite the force behind the scenes in ECW, and he is extremely loyal to his masters. I wonder how Paul Heyman feels about this move. They have probably already joked with each other about this new friendly booking rivalry.

At this point, anything that could lead to Gerwitz being shown the door has to be viewed as a positive. As long as Dreamer doesn't start pushing himself for no reason, it can't be worse than what has been going on for the past year.

So will the trend continue? Will Beulah be the next world champion?

Fantastic move in my humble opinion. Dreamer has the respect of the locker room due to his efforts in ECW. There is no one in the company who can deny that. The current writers will respect the him, as will the rest of the guys. Meanwhile, Dreamer did help with the book in ECW, and how many times did he win the ECW title? Few. Very few.

There will be no negative political problems with Dreamer being a part of the writing staff....unless Triple H gets angry that he can't go but Dreamer can.

Hey I'm happy!

The guy seems like a real good man who's loyal to the company and would go HHH on writing.

He only won it once then he dropped it to Justin Credible about 10 minutes afterwards.

I think its great Dreamer is writing. Everyone always complains about sitcom writers and people with no connection to wrestling writing. Dreamer lives and breathes wrestling, seems like a legit nice guy, knows good angles, and won't screw over people. Hopefully, he can make RAW a better show.

Raven was given the boot right after comming up with a supposed killer idea for his character and was told they would go forth with the idea.

I give Tommy Dreamer a month before he's down in NWA/TNA along with Raven and Sandman.

...but I hope I'm wrong.

I doubt it for two reasons:

1. Tommy's always been pretty secure as a job boy. I don't think Raven could take how the WWE was using him. Given Tommy's reputation, he's pretty happy and unlikely to stir things up.

2. I think Tommy has a job as long as Paul E. does. Paul was the one pushing to bring Tommy in (even just as an office boy), and there seems to be some real mutual loyalty there. I think Paul would get mighty ticked if something was done to Dreamer.

Wow, so Paul has one of his guys helping to run RAW? That can only be a good thing.

And it only took them 26 months to figure this out! Wow! No wonder they're the best wrestling company in the world.

ps. I guess this is what Austin meant when he said "giving the company back to the boys" or something like that.

Didn't Eric Bischoff think it was a good idea to bring Kevin Nash in to provide a wrestler's perspective on the booking?

Vile1, we're talking about WRESTLERS, not Kevin Nash.

Well what kind of argument are we going with here? There's the argument that the "inmates don't run the asylum." And now there's stone cold saying, "give the business back to the boys." Is there a middle ground to this? I guess for Tommy Dreamer since he really doesn't do anything on TV and when he seems to it gets quashed really quickly. We all know for a fact that HHH has creative influences on the on-air product. So I guess there can and can not be a median to make it work.

Actually, this is how they wanted Tommy in the first place. They wanted him to be a Road Agent/Writer, not a wrestler.

I have a special friend. He's the baby Jesus and I love him and...and...he don't give me no s**t and he don't f**k around and he's just the f**king coolest guy and I wanna say I love the baby Jesus.I can't say enough.I love the baby Jesus and I think...he's the best thing and he's really great when he shares his love for everbody. You know what I mean?I can't even see a manger without thinkin' about him,eh?I just love the Jesus.I've only been into him for a couple of hours though, but I'm really into him.
