He remembered to bury him during the Nitro simulcast.

I think a Lex return to the WWF could have worked had he been brought over during the InVasion. He was a shitty worker, but he had charisma and was a big name that was easily identifiable with WCW. Plus, he the first wrestler to outright leave the WWF for WCW on national television, IIRC. If WWE had signed both Luger and Jarrett, instead of trying to live off past grudges, the InVasion would have had more credibility.
But, hey, it's not 2001 anymore. Lex Luger really has no place in WWE at all, because it's just not the place for big hulking superstars like Batista, Scott Steiner, or HHH-- wait.
Signing Jarrett *may* have helped the inVasion. But I really don't think Luger would have helped, if anything he would have had a Bagwell effect (i.e. exposed how terrible most of the WCW main event talent truly was). Luger's last run in WCW was pretty god awful. The man's skills have diminsished so far its ridiculous. The man has had a seventeen year career, yet reached his peak in about the third or fourth year. The rest of his career was just a sad man with an inflated ego living on past potential.
