I keep hearing stuff about Rock and Goldberg having a main even match at Mania...where do these people hear this?

Rock said in an interview that he would like a match with Goldberg at some point in the near future.

Then, Goldberg said that he would consider coming in for a short run around Wrestlemania, but pretty much only to wrestle Rock (he said that he'd also like to wrestle Austin, Angle, and Brock, but that a Rock match at Mania would be his primary wish).

He also inferred that he'd shoot on HHH if they ever fought.

That'll go over really well.

It was either Meltzer, the Torch, or 1wrestling who broke the story that WWE's highly considering bringing Goldberg in for the big money match at Wrestlemania. Yes, it sounds VERY far-fetched, but didn't we say the same thing at this time last year when we heard Vince was bringing Hogan, Hall, and Nash in?

I just SERIOUSLY worry about what'll happen if that match takes place. WWE's running the serious risk of Goldberg causing another concussion, and with Rocky currently being WWE's top moneymaker right now, that could be an ENORMOUS loss!

I also worry about morale in the Smackdown locker room, who will have to sit and watch as Goldberg gets jet-propelled over all of them while they mire in the midcard.

I'll see YOU at Wrestlemania X-9! Hey, Rocky! You're Next!

So should RVD never be allowed to wrestle again? What about D'Lo Brown? Or Triple H? Or Chris Benoit? Or the countless others who have injured people? ACCIDENTS HAPPEN. Goldberg made one mistake, threw one blind kick, and injured Bret Hart.

What about the WCW doctors that allowed Bret to keep working? The bookers that allowed him to take Power Bombs from Kevin Nash? Or put him in a hardcore match with Terry Funk where he apparently suffered multiple concussions?

I'm not a huge Goldberg fan but I just think it's total BS to get on his case about one accident when not mentioning a word about all the others who are currently wrestling that have caused serious injuries.

If the Goldberg thing is just a one shot deal or a couple big matches, they should be HAPPY about the fat paydays they'll receive being on those shows.

A 1-match deal would be a horrible decision, and a waste of time & money.

He also inferred that he'd shoot on HHH if they ever fought.

Well, maybe signing Goldberg wouldn't be such a bad idea...

While that's the move most referred to, Goldberg injured Hart several times in that match and the match the next day by working sloppily.

I watched Starcade 99 the other day...yes it sucked. But, I didn't see what else Goldberg could've done to injure Bret. I also think Bret's injury was an accumulation of many blows so it's BS to pin this on Goldberg while ignoring the dozens of other guys who've caused injuries. Lesnar, Nash, Stiener, Sid, even the Rock hit Foley ten times in the head with a chair...how is that ok?

Bottom Line: More people will pay to see Rock/Goldberg than Angle/Lesnar at Mania.

Hope they sign Goldberg cause it would make an excellent main event with him and Rock, and give the business a much badly needed boost as well. But for some reason I would rather see Austin vs Goldberg at WM.

So, you get Brock and Angle for the Smackdown title, you can probably pencil in HHH and Austin for the RAW title, and you add Rock and Goldberg as a special attraction third main event. You know, that's actually a great card, and you haven't even touched Benoit and RVD and Jericho and Booker and Mysterio, etc. etc. etc.

Hopefully, they find some way to set up a "sports entertainment" match between Vince and Bischoff...

No way, I want Hogan/McMahon at Mania, not Bischoff/McMahon. This is the ONLY match I want to see Hogan in before he retires for good. It's fitting, in so many ways and on so many levels.

I would wonder how hands-on Austin will be with the students, since he's listed as "host" and not "trainer.
